Protecting God's Children Process

To ensure the safety of our students, the Archdiocese of Chicago requires all of our volunteers to complete a  program before they can come into contact with the students. This process must be completed for any activity involving students, even if it is a one-time event.  This includes room parents, parents supervising field trips, lunchroom supervisors, coaches, etc. Our site administrator is Mrs. Letty Garcia, and she will be keeping track of all of our volunteer information. If you have questions or need assistance in completing the process, please contact her at [email protected] or by calling 847-623-8320.

The process consists of the following:

  • VIRTUS training (3-hour training workshop) – online registration is required

  • Annual completion of a CANTS  689 Department of Children& Family Services (DCFS) form (please return to Mrs. Garcia)

  • Completion of the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Standards of Behavior Acknowledgement Form (formally Code of Conduct Form) (please return to Mrs. Garcia)
